A very close game took place in San Cristobal betweenTitanes and Marineros . Sixth ranked Titanes (3-4) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Marineros (3-4). Titanes managed to escape with a 2-point win 96-94 in the game for the fifth place. Titanes shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) scored 39 points (!!!) and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Xavier Reyes (192-2002) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Andersson Mejia (201-2000, college: Texas A&M) with a triple-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Emmanuel Omogbo (203-1995, college: Colorado St.) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Four Titanes and five Marineros players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Marineros and Heroes.
